Using a PVD coating combined with a proprietary sub-micron substrate, G-9610 provides added productivity for turning titanium-based alloys. The smooth and lubricious coating is wear-resistant and chemically-stable, which helps to protect the heat-resistant substrate and allows for higher speeds and extended tool life in continuous cuts. Other key attributes of G-9610 include:

Greenleaf Corporation recently introduced carbide insert grade G-9610. This grade delivers a 25% increase in material removal rate and up to 100% increase in tool life versus the competition when machining titanium, according to the company.

STAN holding, Russian CNC machine designer and manufacturer operated by RT-Capital, will take part in the official multi-industry exhibition China International Import EXPO in Shanghai for the first time. The company will demonstrate innovative STSh EKO robotic grinding center for carbide cutting insert machining. STAN’s exposition will be included in the Made in Russia common Russian stand.

High resistance to built-up edge (BUE), chemical wear, abrasive wear, and loss of hardness at high temperatures

“STSh EKO griding center is a domestic metal working innovation. It will replace similar foreign machines on the Russian market and will be indispensable for high quality tool manufacturers. STAN’s participation in the CIIE-2023 is a great opportunity to demonstrate the advanced domestic solutions at the international level and to affirm Russia’s image as a technologically advanced and competitive country,” pointed out Semyon Yakubov, General Director of RT-Capital.

Inserts in grade G-9610 are available now in various geometries and chipforms. For more information, visit https://greenleafcorporation.com/G-9610.php

“This is a breakthrough technology for machining one of the most difficult materials – titanium,” says Bernie McConnell, Executive Vice President - Commercial at Greenleaf Corporation. “We are proud of our R&D team for again raising the bar and delivering a new titanium turning grade that offers increased value and productivity to our customers.”

STSh EKO multiprocessing CNC machine is designed for diamond grinding of carbide cutting inserts. The latter are used as replaceable inserts for lathe, milling and drilling machines.

The STSh EKO is equipped with a built-in robotic arm that performs material handling operations. The robot is also capable of moving the parts during the machining process, thus, reducing the inter-operation reconfiguration time and increasing the performance.
