Cutting tool and tooling system specialist, Sandvik Coromant has introduced a completely new range of high-end versatile solid end mills. CoroMill Dura will replace the existing versatile CoroMill Plura end mills. The concept is developed for roughing to finishing with different engagements in all applications and materials.

It's likely you've already picked up a Cutter during the One Small Step main story quest during early game. However, should you ever need a new Cutter for any reason, you can generally find them in Cutter Crates and on Miner Corpses in Mining Complexes at Abandoned Mines. These mines can spawn randomly on the surface of planets and moons and may require a bit of luck to track one down, but you're bound to run into them while exploring points of interest that show a Drill Icon when using your scanner.

The Cutter is an industrial mining tool that uses a laser to gather inorganic resources from the surface of planets and moons in Starfield. The Cutter can be found by searching Cutter Crates in Mining Complexes or shopping at Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis. Another noticeable feature is how easy it is to choose the correct tool within the comprehensive range of solid end mills presented in the offer. “We have put extremely high effort on the tool selection aspect. Finding the right tool within the CoroMill Dura assortment should never be a hustle,” continues Groppe.

The Cutter's primary use is Gathering Inorganic Resources, which is essential if you'd like to research mods and recipes at a Research Lab, install powerful mods at a Weapon Workbench, construct your Outposts, and more. With the Cutter, you can gather many types of minerals, from common iron to exotic legendary inorganic resources.

What makes CoroMill Dura stand out compared to the former versatile concept and competitor end mills, is the WhisperKut technology. Dr. Markus Groppe, Global Product Application Manager at Sandvik Coromant, explains the unequal helix concept: “Each flute is oriented at a different helix angle and every level of the cutting edge is unequally spaced from the others. This way you can achieve very good stability and efficient machining without vibration.”

While primarily used for gathering inorganic resources, the Cutter has 4 base energy damage and infinite ammo and can become slightly more potent in close-quarters combat with the Lasers Skill, Heavy Weapons Skill, Targeting Skill, and Crippling Skill.
