Turn an Easy Rougher into a 7-way multi-use tool with the addition of all four (4) Beading Cutters, the Ci2-SQ Standard (comes with Ci2 Easy Rougher), the Ci2-R2 Radius and the Ci2-R2-NR Negative Rake Cutters.
Quickly, easily, and economically, turn an Easy Rougher™ into a Beading Tool by adding our supplemental replaceable Negative Rake Carbide Beading Cutters. These beading cutters are designed to fit on an Easy Rougher that is engraved with, or accepts, our Ci2 carbide cutters:
In our constant effort to improve your turning experience, we were the first to create a true Negative Rake Carbide Cutter™. Rake is the angle of a tool relative to its cutting surface, and most turning tools have a zero (or neutral) rake. These tips have a negative rake, so the face of the cutting tool slopes away from the cutting edge. The geometry makes a cut less aggressive, therefore safer; the negative rake angle virtually eliminates chatter and chipping. It's physics: a negative rake simply can't catch.

Our standard carbide provides a neutral rake, which is the angle of a cutter relative to its cutting surface. These cutters start sharp and stay sharper longer to reduce catches and blowouts.
Grade, Grind and Geometry: these are the 3G's of the perfect carbide cutter. As the industry experts with over 60 years of experience in the carbide field, our team has invested thousands of man hours developing the best combination of these variables and discovered the sharpest and longest lasting edge featuring:
With the explosion of man made materials in the turning world, some found them difficult to work with using traditional steel tools. They catch easily, which can be dangerous and scary, especially to newbies.

When one side of the cutter gets dull, simply turn it to a new side and continue turning. When all sides are used, you just replace the cutter. You'll devote more time to turning instead of wasting hours sharpening your tools, and you'll save money in the long run, too.
Easy Wood Tools® is the only turning company that makes its own carbide. Our proprietary formula is the sharpest, hardest and longest-lasting in the industry.

The cutting edge on these Beading Cutters is our patented Negative Rake design so they will create easy to turn smooth beads, with less aggressive catch-free cuts, therefore safer, and work on both woods and resins. As with all of our Easy Wood Tools Carbide Cutters, these are specifically designed for turning and manufactured in-house by us with our proprietary process.
Precision ground finish. We don't polish our carbide cutters as the polishing process is prone to chipping the cutting edge.
