October 1st sees Sandvik Coromant introduce GC4325; a new-generation coated cemented-carbide grade for steel turning.

The Fuji K-Series Tangle-Free Guides with SiC Insert are strategically designed to reduce tangles and improve casting performance. Equipped with Silicon Carbide inserts, they minimise friction and ensure a smooth and effortless line flow, allowing anglers to cast their lures with precision and accuracy.

The spin models feature the FUJI Graphite DPS Reel Seat, renowned for its lightweight construction and secure fit. For the overhead models, the Fuji Graphite PSS Reel Seat with a power screw lock mechanism ensures utmost stability, particularly in overhead and trolling setups.

Predictability has become increasingly important in today’s machining, especially where there is limited supervision in production. There are always a number of threats to the edge line remaining intact long enough in steel turning. One challenge is the breadth of the ISO P25 application area, which includes several very different materials, from ductile low-carbon steels to high-alloy hard steels, bar material to forgings, castings to pre-machined parts. The advances with the new grade, GC4325, will actually help users resist holding back on cutting-data levels. The grade provides extremely high process security through its ability to retain an intact edge line.

With an RRP of $249 for all models except the PE8 top water rod at $289 the Extraction rod range packs a serious punch when it comes to extracting fish without extracting money from anglers wallets.

Built to withstand the rigours of angling, the Extraction rods come with machined aluminium lock nut fittings. These fittings not only provide a secure connection between the reel seat and rod blank but also enhance the overall strength and durability of the rod.

This latest innovation in tool material provides a new, higher potential for increasing cutting speeds and a longer, more predictable tool life with very high reliability, over an extended broad ISO P25 application area.

The Extraction rod range consists of 11 spin models designed for a wide range of bait and lure fishing situations from a 10 to 20lb, seven foot spin rod suited to inshore snapper or smaller reef species up north to an 8 foot PE8 topwater rod ready to throw stickbaits or poppers for tuna or GTs. The four overhead models cover 20-40lb, 30-50lb and 50-80lb rods designed for bait fishing and a PE5 jig rod made for tangling with the most brutal denizens of the deep.

With all this in mind an average productivity increase of 30 percent from today’s existing levels is now available. The grade represents a new generation of performance with coated cemented-carbide indexable inserts, providing a new potential to be tapped throughout a large and diversified application area.

As a bonus, the grade is highly capable of maintaining the insert edge line at higher temperatures, which translates into the capability for higher cutting speeds with added security through more predictable, longer tool life.

The insert substrate and coating of GC4325 have been developed to better withstand high temperatures, thereby reducing the effect that causes excessive wear.

At the heart of the Extraction rod range is the revolutionary T45 High Modulus Carbon Graphite Blank Construction. Crafted with precision, this carbon graphite material combines strength, lightweight properties, and exceptional sensitivity. It enables anglers to detect even the most subtle bites and enhances the overall responsiveness of the rod.
