If an order has an item on backorder, Harbor Freight will charge shipping on the entire merchandise total including the shipping cost for the item on backorder.

When you order a pre-order item, you will only be charged when the item ships. We do not offer tax exemption on phone and online sales for resellers. Any orders placed online by resellers will be charged the applicable sales tax.

You may be able to order an item in advance of its release. Pre-order items are clearly marked, and include an estimated shipping date.

While we do our best to prevent backorders, they do occasionally happen. The item will be sent as soon as our warehouse receives a new shipment.

Individuals, businesses, and entities exempt from paying state sales tax based on your state’s sales tax requirements (such as governments Native Americans living on a reservation, or for agricultural purposes) can apply to use their tax exempt status here.
