Chocky bars and buttons are a proven wear protection component that come in all different shapes and sizes. Chocky bars and buttons have a wear resistant chrome white iron casting that is bonded to a mild steel backing, so it can be welded to any metal surface using common welding materials. When standard Abrasion Resistant steels aren’t cutting it in extreme wear or high temperature applications, Chromium Carbide Overlay plate is the solution of choice. Chromium Carbide Overlay Plate comes in different thicknesses and can be cut and formed to fit your application. The outstanding wear life of this product will exceed any Standard AR Plate by several times.

Using loaders as an example, customers can often see 2-5 times extended wear life over standard edges (see graphic), and scraper blades can see up to 10x extended wear life.

TUFFSTUDS™ create a unique and highly effective form of wear protection, making it an ideal solution for tough, high wear applications. TUFFSTUDDS™, are a small solid chromium carbide wear buttons that are welded on using a stud welder. TUFFSTUDDS™ are highly wear resistant and when installed, create a material dead bed area that allows for cheap and long-lasting material on material wear. Another added benefit of TUFFSTUDDS™ is the weight savings over standard wear plates and liners. TUFFSTUDDS™ are a highly effective replacement to hard surfacing, which can be time consuming and damaging to structural components.
