WHEN PRECISION MATTERS Sometimes our tolerances matter and sometimes they really matter. When we need to know where a feature is truly at we reach for a micrometer. Second in prevalence to only the...
Our incredibly talented staff is based in Texas with additional support, shipping, and development staff distributed across the US.
Dynamic Armor 46100® plate is designed to exceed the ballistic requirements set forth in the MIL-DTL-46100E specification; this includes previous revisions to the specification.
Good shop practices include a minimum plate temperature of +60°F, grinding plate edges, conditioning and lubricating form dies and applying uniform bending force. The recommended minimum bottom die opening should be at least 16 times the plate thickness. Because of the enhanced mechanical properties of this plate, the bending forces required to form the plate will be greater and more plate “springback” can be expected to occur.
Titus Steelworks is in the business of fabricating impact and sliding abrasion wear parts and components for sever wear applications. We also design and build “Live Fire” training solutions for SWAT, military and civil services. We also offer contract cutting, blasting and painting. With our client-first approach and variety of services, we offer more than just steel; we offer you solutions to your processing problems.

Following good shop forming practices and uniform load application, Dynamic Armor 46100® plate can be formed to a minimum radius of 4*t against a bend line transverse to the rolling direction and a radius of 6*t against a bend line that is parallel to the rolling direction, for thicknesses ≤5/16”. For thicknesses >5/16”, Dynamic Armor 46100® plate can be formed to a minimum radius of 6*t against a bend line transverse to the rolling direction and a radius of 8*t against a bend line that is parallel to the rolling direction.
Dynamic Armor 46100® is a high hardness ballistic steel plate specifically designed for lightweight armor applications that require maximum resistance to ballistic threats. As a specialty plate, it is available in thicknesses from 3/16” through 2” (4.7mm through 50mm). Dynamic Armor 46100® plate exhibits a superior combination of ballistic resistance, hardness, formability, weldability, toughness and flatness. It is produced using an optimum combination of carbon and alloy content, to offer a maximum resistance to ballistic penetration.

Machining aerospace materials is hard enough. Then when you add in a heat treated hardening process, it's near impossible. The Kennametal Harvi III solves our problem time and time again when it c...
Dynamic Armor 46100® plate can be welded using conventional welding practices such as SMAW, GMAW and SAW provided low hydrogen filler metal and welding practices are employed. Interpass temperatures should not exceed 400°F and post-weld heat treatment is not recommended if the original hardness levels are to be maintained.
Choosing the right roughing end mill saves you time and makes you money. The Kennametal KOR-5 excels in efficient material removal, achieves desired tolerances, and surface finishes, particularly in aluminum. This end mill is our top recommendation for its exceptional performance in these tasks.
TITANS of CNC is the global leader in educating, connecting, and lifting up manufacturing students, educators, and professionals.
Dynamic Armor 46100® plate can be thermally cut using conventional methods of laser, plasma, and oxy-fuel cutting techniques provided that the minimum plate temperature is +60°F prior to cutting.
Rest assured that our store is backed by industry-leading technology, and the safety of your information is our top priority.
Dynamic Armor 46100® plate is used in a variety of lightweight armor applications where maximum protection and resistance to ballistic threats is critical, such as armored personnel carriers, tanks, tactical combat vehicles, armored municipal & government vehicles, personal armored cars, armored cabs, etc.
