Parting off is required for bar feed operations (so completed parts can be ejected into a parts catcher), and when transferring parts to a sub-spindle for finishing operations.

Haas blade-type cut-off tools feature a self-clamping pocket on each end to securely hold the replaceable carbide inserts without screws or clamps. The overhang is adjustable, allowing these cut-off blades to easily accommodate different part diameters, as well as deep grooving applications.
