Hello machinists. I'm doing some calculations on material removal rate (MRR). I have zero experience with CAM software, so I wrote a script in Solidworks that simulates an endmill's movement through a workpiece at a small time interval. That way I could calculate the material loss for each time step. This is obviously not a neat way of approaching this problem. Are you guys aware of any CAM software that is capable of calculating MRR? Thanks!

How much the end mill deflects depends on cutting parameters, tool diameter, tool stick out, and the elasticity coefficient (PSI) of the cutting tool material.
