We're often asked if you can efficiently machine heat-treated tool steels with indexable carbide tooling. The answer is a resounding yes, but successful hard milling requires an approach that’s quite different from your typical milling applications.

A favorite of both woodcarvers and printmakers, our microtools are great for cleaning up ridges created by gouge cuts, cleaning up tight corners, accessing tight spaces, and carving fine details such as mouths and eyes, plus adding texture such as hair, fur and feathers.
