45 degree chamfer bit1 2
I'm trying to machine a baseplate, and it has a lot of holes with threading - I would like the holes all to have a chamfer. however that seems to be problematic to create the toolpath for that. if i have to select each and every hole by clicking.
Or, you can if they are all the same size then you can use the select the "Diameter Range" and then set it to the diameters that cover the hole size and all the holes will be automatically selected, real easy and quick

1) Spot drill with a nice big tool that can handle the depth for the Chamfer so you don`t need to chamfer later and it is better for the Tap

3) Tap the hole, will tap easy as it already has a Chamfer, Chamfering after the Tapping can often "push" material into the start thread leading to bad lead in for what ever is to be screwed in to it.
aH! Now that's brilliant. Why on earth didn't i think of that before. Just spotdrilling all the holes is super easy. I was so focused on the chamfer that I wen't completely blind.
Just Right click on the Operation and go to "Add Pattern" and use the same distances as in design and the toolpaths and code will be produced for all your holes
So all you need to do is if the holes have been done as a rectagular pattern in Design from that one hole then all you need do in Manufacture is select the original hole and toolpath it as above, then you can use the Pattern option in Manufacture to create the toolpaths for the whole lot of your holes, super easy, just one hole to select and toolpath
