Solid carbide end mill drill bits have more rigidity than high-speed steel. This heat-resistant high-speed end mill cuts through hard material and provides an excellent finish. A single-end carbide end mill sits deep in the chuck or solid end mill holder, bringing the gripping force close to the flutes.

Use end mill drill bits to cut through material horizontally and vertically. Compared to standard end mills, roughing end mills remove larger amounts of material quickly. The texture on the cutting edges breaks chips into small segments.

We also carry double-end carbide end mills. When one end of the cutting tool wears out, you can switch to the opposite one. This gives the bit two times the working life span it would otherwise have.

Carbon reinforced fibers have been produced on an industrial scale and used as reinforcement in plastics since the mid seventies. They are made up of over 90% pure carbon.

Due to their high modulus of elasticity, carbon fibers are ideal for applications in which rigidity is the predominant requirement. While glass and aramid fibers offer high electrical insulating properties, carbon fibers are electrically conductive. However, unless the compound has been designed specifically for electrically active applications, the conductivity of carbon filled materials should not be relied upon to be consistent throughout the material. Compared to glass fibers, carbon fibers are very suitable for use in slide wear and low friction applications. Their characteristics support sliding movement and they significantly improve abrasion resistance.
