Elevated Materials works with suppliers in a program that is comfortable to both parties. With us you are able to promote your sustainability efforts or remain behind the scenes completely anonymous. We understand that scrap material collected contains intellectual property and we build a system with each supplier to properly handle it.

Carbon fiberremanufacturing

Elevated Materials is focused on collecting uncured prepreg scrap. The primary resin system that we use is epoxy, but we are able to make use of others as well.

It's metal, silvery colored, there's a face on it, and in 50's there was a Bison on it. Or something. And they're kinda thick, bigger than a dime, and smaller than a quarter. It's my opinion that they are the black sheep of coins.

A 1949 nickel, also known as a Jefferson nickel, is made of 75% copper and 25% nickel. It has a weight of 5 grams and a diameter of 21.2mm.

The chemical symbol for nickel, Ni, comes from the Latin word "nīhil" which means "nothing." This is because a mineral containing nickel was initially mistaken for an ore of copper by miners due to its lack of any distinguishing characteristics.

Nickel is a silvery-white metal with high corrosion resistance, good thermal and electrical conductivity, and is magnetic at room temperature. It is commonly used in alloys for various applications, such as in stainless steel production and in batteries. Nickel is also known for its ability to form a protective oxide layer, which enhances its durability and longevity.

Since then, nickel has become a very valuable metal. The most common use is in the production of stainless steel, a strong material that does not rust easily. It is used in hundreds of industrial and consumer applications. Nickel is also used in the manufacture of many other alloys. An alloy is made by melting and mixing two or more metals. The mixture has properties different from those of the individual metals.

By itself or part of an alloy consisting of other metals. It can be also used as a compound - nickel (III) oxide - typically used in one specific type of rechargeable batteries (nickel-cadmium; NiCd)

Elevated Materials is based in Southern California but collects carbon fiber scrap material nationwide. For our partners in Southern California, we are a collection service provider and are able to make material pick-ups on an as-needed basis. For companies not local to Southern California, we are able to build strategies that work for your material disposal needs.

Nickel is classified as a transition metal. Transition metals are elements between Groups 2 (metals) and 13 (non-metals) in the Periodic Table. The periodic table is a chart that shows how chemical elements are related to one another. Nickel is closely related to iron, cobalt, copper, and zinc. These metals are close to nickel in the periodic table.
