A bone cyst is a common, benign, fluid filled sac, usually occurring in the metaphysis of long bones. A bone cyst can contain purulent material or clear fluid. Nonsurgical treatment of a bone cyst includes aspiration to remove the fluid from the cyst and injection with a substance that destroys the cyst.
