Each of Profiles 3 extrusion presses has the capability to produce aluminum tubing and extruded shapes up to 24 feet long. In general, requirements for extrusions or tube less than 72” long are cut at one of our four precision saws. We cut close to one million pieces per month with our saws.

This can be accomplished on our Elumatic SBZ 122/74 without taking the extrusion out of the fixture. This minimizes cycle time and increases machining  accuracy. We have up to 16” of travel in the Y-axis of this machine.

Wire EDM is a non-traditional machining method that uses an electrical spark to vaporize the work piece. Historically, the wire EDM process has been most widely used by the tool and die manufacturing industry. Over the past fifteen years improvements have resulted in the process being increasingly utilized in the aerospace and medical device manufacturing industries for both prototype and small production runs.

Our Behringer VA-L 500 E is our newest precision saw. It was installed in January 2022. It was developed specifically for sawing non-ferrous metals like aluminum.

It has the capability to hold tolerances to ±.0002”. It has much higher productivity levels than a drill press and can run unattended when we utilize the pallet changer.

Profile utilizes a very unique 4-axis vertical mill for long extrusions. We have the capability to accurately machine aluminum shapes and tubing up to 14 feet long. Many linear slide applications require holes and countersinks over long lengths.
