You can reach these pages by clicking any of the hyperlinked tool numbers across all of our product tables. From there, simply click “Speeds & Feeds” to access the speeds and feeds PDF for that specific tool.

Due to the differences in naming conventions between manufacturers, some Harvey Tool holemaking and threading tools will not appear exactly as you think in Fusion 360. However, each tool does contain a description with the exact name of the tool. For example, Harvey Tool Flat Bottom Drills display in Fusion 360 as Counterbores, but the description field will call them out as Flat Bottom Drills, as you can see below.

Once you have downloaded your HSM tool library, you will need to import the tool libraries into your HSM software by heading to the “My Libraries” tab and right-clicking and selecting “Open in Window Explorer”. From there, navigate to your Downloads folder on your computer, and select the tool library files you have downloaded to add them to your HSM library.

You will see two options listed: “For Fusion 360” and “For Autodesk HSM”. To download your HSM tool library, choose the “For Autodesk HSM” option. This will trigger an .HSMLib file to download into your computer’s Downloads folder.

My days of manually creating vendor tools within HSM are slowly coming to an end.  As a longtime HSMWorks and Inventor HSM user, I’ve followed the path of Tim Paul from the Autodesk CAM Team, measuring everything I do in the software as ‘mouse clicks’.  The more mouse clicks I have to do, the longer it takes me to get to the machine to cut a part.  Now I’m getting out to the machine faster with all the Harvey and Helical end mills ready to go!

To download one of our tool libraries, head to https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmtools. There you will find all of the Harvey Tool and Helical Solutions tool libraries. You will be able to sort by vendor or use the search bar to filter results.
