IMCO Carbide Tool is introducing a new high-performance end mill designed specifically to overcome the challenges of machining in high-temp alloys. Following extensive product testing versus an array of competing product designs, as well as against IMCO’s Omega-6 series end mills, the cutting tool developer is claiming its new Inconex M8 series end mills will last up to three times longer than the competitor’s best designs, and twice as long as its own Omega-6 products.

Inconex M8 Series tools are designed with high-strength properties and a special “chip-creating” design to break through those barriers, and keep cutting. These tools feature a carbide core with 20% higher transverse rupture strength and six flutes with optimized rake and relief angles for maximum cutting edge engagement. Advanced AlCrNX coating protects the tools’ specially engineered cutting edges from the intense heat generated in the cutting zone.

The chip-creating design was explained by IMCO’s application support team leader Steve Avers. “Each cutting edge is specially shaped to reduce edge-wearing stress in the cutting zone. An added benefit of the new design is much smaller chips that can be easily flushed from the work zone.”

With an RRP of $249 for all models except the PE8 top water rod at $289 the Extraction rod range packs a serious punch when it comes to extracting fish without extracting money from anglers wallets.

“The new Inconex line is a real breakthrough in productivity for machining in Inconel, Hastalloy, Waspalloy, and similar high-temp alloys,” according to IMCO president Perry Osburn.

The Extraction rod range consists of 11 spin models designed for a wide range of bait and lure fishing situations from a 10 to 20lb, seven foot spin rod suited to inshore snapper or smaller reef species up north to an 8 foot PE8 topwater rod ready to throw stickbaits or poppers for tuna or GTs. The four overhead models cover 20-40lb, 30-50lb and 50-80lb rods designed for bait fishing and a PE5 jig rod made for tangling with the most brutal denizens of the deep.

The Fuji K-Series Tangle-Free Guides with SiC Insert are strategically designed to reduce tangles and improve casting performance. Equipped with Silicon Carbide inserts, they minimise friction and ensure a smooth and effortless line flow, allowing anglers to cast their lures with precision and accuracy.

The spin models feature the FUJI Graphite DPS Reel Seat, renowned for its lightweight construction and secure fit. For the overhead models, the Fuji Graphite PSS Reel Seat with a power screw lock mechanism ensures utmost stability, particularly in overhead and trolling setups.

At the heart of the Extraction rod range is the revolutionary T45 High Modulus Carbon Graphite Blank Construction. Crafted with precision, this carbon graphite material combines strength, lightweight properties, and exceptional sensitivity. Completing the exceptional design of the Extraction Rod Series are the shaped high-density DURA-EVA handle grips.
