I just saw what you asked, as was looking for spot drilling (actually start the hole center)You can use the chamfer from the model (You must make that in the model, in order CAM read it) to get spot drilling. Even if stock is higher (and you want to do all the drilling, and get proper chamfer) as long as drill is the same as chamfer angle, it will do it perfectly.Another way is to play with Heights tab in Drilling function. You can position the bottom of the spot hole in Z relative to the stock top, and predrill all what you need, BEFORE you make stock surface angled (really useful)I hope this helps.

The drill ribbon should have a second option from drilling called "Spot Drilling" that allows for spot drilling holes. Currently we can do this by selecting a drill operation, then selecting a spot tool instead of a drill, then adjusting our depths from the default of "hole bottom" to be model top with a negative offset (of for instance, 0.020"). This all works but would be nice if we could have an automated menu option that defaulted to model top with an offset for height and defaulted to Spot Drills when selecting tools. Also, the cycle tab could be eliminated from the spot drill option and just use a regular cycle for spotting holes before drilling.

Totally the wrong way...  For your specific hole diameter try adding plot lines that size and then match the tool outline manually by zooming in real close.

But seriously.  Counterboring w/ dwell and rapid out, seems to work for me.  ...With an online triangle calculator to get the hole size.

I am attempting to spot drill a family of similar parts from 1/8" 1018 crs. There are two hole diameters, 1/4 & 5/16. Where do I find the instructions for spotting these holes? And, can F360 adjust the depth to leave the correct chamfer on both diameters in one pass over the part?
