We chose this name for a few reasons. The first being that was my husband’s grandfather’s middle name (several family members already had his first name but no one the middle). Second it is such a handsome old timey name that fits for both a child and an adult. Once we had chosen it I looked up the meaning and loved how strong it is. It also fits our last name well

Harvey means battle-worthy. I found out I had marginal cord insertion with this pregnancy, and it used to be known as a “battledore placenta” due to its shape looking like a battledore racket ( battledore was a form of badminton).. That was the moment his name choice was solidified with us. The Lord has had his hand on our battle worthy boy every step of the way!
